Layken Rubin (that’s me, hi) resides in Birmingham, Alabama with her husband Braden, their two children and their rescue kitten Mogley. I have a background in Graphic Design but I’m currently a High School Art Teacher teaching Art and Digital Photography.

I’ve lived in the south my entire life, born in Alabama, childhood in Mississippi and now rooted in Birmingham AL. It has surrounded me by people pursuing creative careers and making beautiful things. My love for art and having my hands messy from making, goes back as far as I can remember. I have always had a drive to pursue my artistic passions and have never given up my curiosities, need for exploration or a desire to learn. My outgoing, middle child personality has made me always love connecting with people and my community and art has given me the opportunity to do both.
